Major Events: Mountain Laurel Classic Sale- 2nd Sat. in November; Sunbelt Agricultural Expo; Georgia Beef Expo; One Super Point Show - Southeast Empire or Georgia National Fair; Calhoun Bull Test - Calhoun, Georgia; Field Days - one or two per year.

Major emphasis: The major emphasis of the Georgia Affiliate is to breed strong Santa Gertrudis cattle that will work for both the purebred and commercial cattleman. We support the breed improvement efforts of SGBI and the Official SGBI NuGen Project. Last but certainly not least- we support the tremendous efforts of our small but energetic junior association.
