Come on down to South Texas for a good time on March 10th, the South Texas Pioneer Sale, sponsored by the Rio Grande Valley Santa Gertrudis Association and held in conjunction with the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo in Mercedes, Texas. When I say its going to be a good time, I mean it!
My name is Larry Garza, I ,along with my friends, Fidel Ozuna, Pat Ozuna, Loel Garza and Adan Maldonado invite you to a sale done the old fashioned way. Great South Texas bar b que, good country music from Victor Herrera and awesome Santa Gertrudis and Star 5 cattle to view and buy from some of our foremost Santa Gertrudis Pioneer breeders. The sale will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. There will be refreshments during the sale and a Bar B Que dinner following the sale of the final lot.
We would also love for you and your families to join us and see some of the best Rio Grande Valley Santa Gertrudis cattle at the following shows: Rio Grande Valley Santa Gertrudis Association Junior Heifer and Bull Futurity Show on Thursday, March 8th at 7:00 PM. This show is a showcase of Rio Grande Valley born and bred Santa Gertrudis and Star 5 cattle. Anyone can be a part of this show. All it takes is a membership in the Rio Grande Valley Santa Gertrudis Association and a Rio Grande Valley born and bred Santa Gertrudis or Star 5 animal. The Texas State Santa Gertrudis Open and Junior Santa Gertrudis Show are scheduled for Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th. Santa Gertrudis and Star 5 cattle will be judged and the Texas State Santa Gertrudis Champions will be crowned there.

The hotel has reserved rooms and suites at great rates, just mention the South Texas Pioneer Sale. For your security, the gates are always closed and can be accessed only with your key card.
