Services for Evelyn Bicknell Stout, 77, of Grandview, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Grandview with Rev. Russell Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

Mrs. Stout passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Austin Bicknell on May 4, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of Johnson County. Evelyn married B.F. Stout on July 11, 1950. Evelyn and B.F. were long time breeders of Santa Gertrudis cattle and together ran Circle S Ranch, herd number 2104. B.F. and Evelyn ran a successful cow/calf operation and were big supporters of the Santa Gertrudis youth program. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grandview. She worked as an elementary school teacher throughout the surrounding area, including Rio Vista, Maypearl and Hillsboro. Evelyn was the kind of lady that when she spoke, you listened. She was full of life and the center of the family. She took care of everyone. She was a very hard working lady, including working on the ranch with her husband. She was a talented cook. Grandma, as the grandchildren call her, was the ultimate southern lady and all around, good person. Her loving nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Justin; and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, B.F. Stout; sons and daughters in law, Rodger Stout and Barbara, Michael Stout, Donald Stout and Julie; grandchildren, Stefanie, Christa, Cody, Michal Ann, Don Jr., and Greg; great grandchildren, Carson and Lorelai; several siblings; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
